The Dalgarven Mill Museum of Country Life and Costume (in Ayrshire) has currently got an exhibition on Victorian costumes (inc some knitted items)… well worth the visit – see review by a recent visitor!
The Costume Collection of over two thousand pieces may be most accurately described as Dress and Textiles. As well as women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, they have quilts, tablecloths, bedcovers, Ayrshire blankets, machine made lace from Darvel, and of course Ayrshire embroidery or “floorin” as it was known.
Thanks for linking to my blog. It was, indeed, well worth a visit.

I will bookmark your blog and take a look at once more here frequently.
I am slightly certain I’ll learn many new stuff proper here!
Good luck for the following!
